We must express our opposition to the proposed rezoning!

Life School Proposal

The Life School plans to build a High School, Middle School, and an athletic stadium (currently seating 3500) at 1000 E. Danieldale, the corner of Cockrel Hill and Danieldale in Duncanville. To proceed, a zoning change from Single Family (SF-13) to Planned Development (PD) is required. We strongly oppose this zoning change and the proposed development plan. Although Life School is tax-exempt, Duncanville citizens will still bear the tax burden for the project. Our peaceful neighborhoods are at risk, and we urge everyone to stand against this disruption.

This Life School proposed project will include the following:

  1. Increased Traffic Congestion: The project would result in approximately 4,000 people (including parents, staff, students, and community members) coming and going daily, contributing to traffic congestion. This will impact both Cockrell Hill and Danieldale Road!
  2. Noise and Light Pollution: The proposed stadium would generate significant noise and light pollution, affecting the surrounding neighborhoods.
  3. Deterioration of Streets: The existing streets, already in need of repair, could further deteriorate due to increased traffic and construction.
  4. Ongoing Construction Disruption: Communities would face ongoing noise and disruption from construction activities for years.
  5. Potential Property Value Decrease: Property values may decline as a result of these changes.

We need you need to respond!

We’ve invested significantly in our homes, and we won’t tolerate our peace, tranquility, and lifestyle being disrupted. Let’s all unite against Life School’s proposed planned development and their request for a zoning change from Single Family to Planned Development with the City of Duncanville, Texas.
